As we accommodate an ever-changing environment at home and work, this module will define what is good stress vs. bad stress, the impact that stress has on how we engage in the world, and review strategies for managing stress; finding balance between work and home; addressing burnout; recognizing the importance of self-care as a path to meaningful relationships and a manageable lifestyle.


Debra Raybold, ACC

Debra Raybold has over 25 years of leadership and management experience in healthcare, business and non-profit industries.  She is the founder and lead team member for That Essential Spark, a training, coaching and consulting organization focused on using brain science to help people achieve their goals, and strengthen their personal and professional wellbeing and self-efficacy.  

Debra holds a BA in Psychology,  Post Grad Certification in the Neuroscience of Leadership, and is a Certified Individual and Organizational Coach.  She is certified in Emotional Intelligence,  a qualified MBTI practitioner, and is accredited with the International Coach Federation. 

Debra’s previously held positions include Director of Memorial BrainWorks, a lifespan based health care center, Chief Operating Office of The South Bend Clinic, a physician owned multi-speciaity group, Director of Innovation for a multi-service line behavioral health organization and the Executive Director of two non-profit agencies.  


  1. Define how stress works and recognize its symptoms.
  2. Evaluate their support system.
  3. Identify symptoms of depression and anxiety.
  4. Understand the concept of "secondary trauma."
  5. Identify techniques and resources to effectively manage stress, depression, and anxiety.
  6. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of balance between work and life.
  7. Demonstrate effective techniques for setting limits.

Online Module

When completing the on-line module you will be presented with learning objectives, brief cases, questions for reflection (not scored), and interactive lessons with hyperlinks to engage you along the way. Once you complete the lessons, you will be presented with the Post Test (which requires a score of 100%) and then the Module Evaluation, followed by the opportunity to print your Continuing Education Certificate. Modules remain available for your future reference once you have completed them.
